Henry

That's me!
Hi, my name is Henry and I have studied psychology and writing at the Univeristy of the Sunshine Coast. My focus was primarily the effect of language on thought; how it can change peoples perceptions in dramatic ways such as how they feel pain, to how they perceive time, to even seeing more colours . I enjoy history, and in my spare time I have also studied myths, legends, and customs of a variety of cultures. From the epic of Gilgamesh, to the Tuatha Dé Danann of the Irish, and even the king of stories Anansi the spider god and many woven tales.

One thing you may have guessed: I am also a fan of role playing games!Psychologically speaking, they are very healthy for you, helping to prevent such crippling diseases as Alzheimer's. I am also a big fan of the noir genre… So maybe, just maybe, you may see all of these things blend together in the world of Xor’Veil.

Miki

Keo, more commonly known by her nickname Miki, is our absolutely amazing lead artist. Miki’s main contribution to this project is character design, which she does in an absolutely phenomenal fashion. Her style is known as semi realistic manga -  it draws influence from the Anime/Manga style from her native Vietnam. She has helped hundreds of characters come to life on the page, in a way words could not accomplish. Another reason why I have her as lead artist, beyond her amazing artistic ability, is her flare for fashion. She is also an absolute powerhouse - she is always working when she isn’t she hitting the gym, and I am more than glad to have her on the team.

Banzz

Banzz (or Big Bann studio) is Albani head of Big Bann studio in Indonesia. Banzz is quite possibly the most positive person I have ever met (and I have seen a Tony Robins video!) His a big guy at for Indonesia, and his heart is big for anyone in whole world. He and his team are responsible for most of the landscapes you will see in the books, from the grand sweeping vistas of the Grandous, to the tranquil ambience of Sanctuary, to the ominous feeling from the city of Ember. He has also done some other work such as layout for the character sheet, icons for the game and more! He is a ball of enthusiasm, positivity, and gratitude; without a doubt someone you would want to spend a Saturday with.

Connor

You may have noticed a similarity between this guy and the one above. No, that’s not lazy artistry, that’s my brother! (Though some people think we're twins.) Connor is very much the yang to my yin. He has studied accounting, marketing, and business planning. He is a number crunching power house and will be able to break down just about any mathematical equations you put in front of him (he can’t help it, years of accounting work does that to a man.) Humour aside, he was a critical part in helping develop the mechanics behind the game. He helped to implement some complicated math behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly. He has also helped develop the setting in some very interesting ways. Without this human work horse, it would be all flavour text and no mechanics.
Thanks for your help bro.

Lacey

Lacey from the land of the maple leaf is our primary concept artist for some of the projects we hope we can get to when the Kickstarter kicks in to high gear. She is one of our more well studied artists, with a certificate in Fine Arts from the College of New Caledonia. She's an absolute master in monstrosities, primarily helping with the design and creation of the non-human races. This takes quite a bit of work: working through early concepts, taking cues from the natural world and adding fantastical elements to give you truly unique and interesting design. Her characters have a mix of science and artistry that only Lacey could provide. At home in her native Canada, she takes care of a hockey loving man, and a leisure loving pug, and is all round just a lovely person to have a conversion with.

Sol

Anh, more commonly known by her nickname Sol, is another one of our artists and has done some phenomenal work for us. She is an absolute treasure and also uses the semi-realistic Manga style of her native Vietnam, just like her friend Miki. The thing that Anh does better than maybe anyone is inanimate objects, from the humble coin of the realm, to the embossed and intricate patterned shields, to dastardly blade. She gives all of work a level of detail which gives it sense of reality, history, and weight. All of which you will be able to see in the pages of Xor’Veil. Another jewel from Vietnam, she's not just a phenomenal artist but is also an amazing human, taking care of sick and injured cats in her local area. She is an absolute gem of a person!

Nimphradora

Valentina, known by her internet nickname Nimphradora, has designed many of the major landscape pieces for Xor’Veil, such as Grand Port, Barzon, and Imperious. She is has some of the most esoteric of art influences of all of the Xor’Veil staff, inspired by the Eastern European artists of her home region. She creates creatures of intriguing designs and interesting origins. Her work has an interesting atmosphere that wafts mood in all directions, giving it a particularly potent feeling. Valentina is someone who really loves her craft and brings it into the real world with costumes, face paint and modelling of every fantastic flavour, as well as creating props, potions and peculiar paraphernalia. She is also just an all round good person who works hard! I am proud to have her work in here.

Other staff

A project of this nature will always have a lot of people involved. Primarily each person in the project has a speciality that they are working on, artist will usually be working in their area of specialisation. There are also other people beavering away in the background such as my good friend Pauly working on editing my mix and muddled metaphors, and Stuart working on blending all of this together seamlessly. But don’t worry when you get your book you will be able to find out who has done what in each area.

I hope you enjoyed meeting the staff as much as I have enjoyed working with them.
